Rafael Nadal practices with Janko Tipsarevic in Monte Carlo

Eight time Monte Carlo champion Rafael Nadal has reached Monaco and already begun practicing for the defence of his title. Nadal will be going for an unprecedented ninth consecutive title in Monaco. on Friday, he was seen practicing with top 10 player Janko Tipsarevic, from Serbia.
Nadal has already played three clay court events this season - during the ATP Latin American clay court swing.
The Spaniard, who has dropped to no. 5 in the ATP rankings, was out of action for eight months due to knee problems. He made his comeback during the Latam swing, winning two events and reaching the finals of the third. He then also won the Indian Wells masters title on hardcourts before pulling out of Miami to rest his knees.
Although Nadal has said that his knees still hurt, he said that they are improving.
Nadal has dominated the clay court season for the past several years and he will be going for his eighth French Open title in June.
