Rafael Nadal to play in Vina Del Par


11-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal has committed to play next tournament at Vina Del Par, an ATP World Tour 250 series of the ATP World Tour.
Former World No. 1 Rafael Nadal has been training hard in gym along with his team, where he has preparing hard for the upcoming ATP tournaments next month. King of Clay has signed up for the Vina Del Par tournament, schedule to begin from 4th February and he will travel to Sao Paulo to play in the Brazil Open from 11th February.
26-year-old Nadal is also going to play in the Acapulco, which will start from 25th February being played here on outdoor clay courts. Spaniard is looking forward to return back to top form and hopes to clinch more titles before heading into the Monte Carlo and French Open. Nadal can play better tennis on clay courts at the moment than hard courts, as he suffered from knee injury from past seven months.
According to sources Nadal has been fit to come back to court again, where his fans are eagerly looking for the Spanish bull next month. Spanish star, who was skip from the Australian Open this month, he is very excited to be back to court for the first time from past seven months.

Rafael Nadal shakes off rust with win at Indian Wells

INDIAN WELLS: Rafael Nadal, playing in his first event since his runner-up finish at the Australian Open, routed Leonardo Mayer 6-1, 6-3 in his Indian Wells opener on Sunday.

Two-time Indian Wells champ Nadal cruised through his second round match at the ATP/WTA hard-court tournament, winning the final eight points of the 75 minute match on centre court.

"It's fantastic. I am happy to start with a victory," world number two Nadal said. "I am taking it day by day."

Nadal advanced to the third round, where he will face fellow Spaniard Marcel Granollers, who beat Tommy Haas of Germany 6-3, 2-6, 6-3.

The left-handed Spaniard hit one ace, posted two double faults and won four of six break point chances.

Nadal broke Mayer twice in a 29-minute first set. He then served flawlessly in the eighth game to take a 5-3 lead in the second set before breaking Mayer in the final game. Nadal celebrated his win after Mayer hammered a forehand long and wide.

"It's not easy to be back after awhile without competition, but I believe I did really well," Nadal said. "I started the match very focussed, very aggressive. Today the only thing I can say is I'm very happy. I'm very happy about almost everything."

It marked Nadal's first match since losing to world number one Novak Djokovic in a monumental five hour, 53 minute final at the Australian Open.

Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer in same draw at BNP Paribas Open 2012



The 10-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal and former World No. 1 Roger Federer has been placed in a same draw in the men’s singles at the 2012 BNP Paribas Open championships.

The greatest players of all time in history Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer have been listed in a similar draw at the 2012 BNP Paribas Open championships, an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the 2012 ATP World Tour, being played here at Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Indian Wells. Federer has been seeded as No. 3, ahead of the Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic as No. 2 and No. 1 seeds respectively.

The World No. 3 Federer is likely to face tough men’s singles draw, where he might face Canadian tennis star Milos Raonic, who has won two ATP titles at Chennai Open, SAP Open and reached Regions Morgan Keegan Championships final, before losing to Jurgen Melzer in two sets. Nadal and Federer is likely to meet in the BNP Paribas Open semi final and it is going to be an amazing match of the ATP Masters tournament.
